Archbishop concludes ‘Jubilee Year of Mercy’ at the Cathedral

Bengaluru, Nov 6: Archbishop Bernard Moras presided over a ceremonial closure of the Jubilee Year of Mercy at St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral November 6th, during a mass at 5pm in the presence of priests, religious and laity. Vicar General Monsignor S. Jayanathan who oversaw the years’ celebrations in various parishes thanked the Archbishop for his keen interest, co-operation and support in making the ‘year of mercy’ meaningful and message-oriented. He also thanked the parish priests, nuns and the laity for their support.

The Archbishop in his homily said “Those in most need of mercy are those suffering in abject poverty as much as the sick, the lonely and the dying. Our Christian Faith binds upon us the obligation to reach out to such people”
